Lonely Christmas Tree Seeking Presents

Brighten the holidays for those who need it the most

The festive season is upon us, and at Hotel Christiania Teater our goal is to bring joy and spread the magic of Christmas to those who need it the most. While the holiday season is full of joy and tradition for many, it can be a challenging and difficult time for some children.

Through the Lonely Christmas Tree initiative, we invite you to help bring a little extra cheer to children who could use some holiday magic. By donating a gift, you can make their Christmas brighter and create moments of joy that they will remember.

How to participate?

  1. Buy or donate a gift you think a child might need or enjoy. Make sure it’s in good condition.
  2. Please make sure not to wrap the present you are donating, as we cannot accept wrapped items for security reasons. The giving of food and drink as a gift is also not encouraged.
  3. Place the gift in one of our boxes under our Christmas Tree in the lobby.

We accept gifts until December 15.

Where do the donations go?

Stiftelsen Sykehusbarn works to ensure that children affected by their own or others’ serious illnesses have positive, joy-filled experiences. The organization carries out projects and events in hospitals and other settings for children, their families, and friends.Their main focus is to spread joy, offer encouragement, and create meaningful moments for the children they support.

About the Project

The Lonely Christmas Tree initiative is part of a long-standing tradition at Nordic Hotels & Resorts to give back to our communities during the holiday season. Since 2012, over 500,000 gifts have been collected and shared, bringing joy and holiday cheer to children who need it most. We are grateful for everyone who has contributed and helped make this possible!

Want to keep spreading the cheer? Share your participation on social media and help us collect even more gifts this year. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #lonelychristmastree when posting.

Every single contribution matters, and we appreciate them all. Thank you!
